The Authority of Jesus

As Creator of the universe, God has authority over all things.  He causes things to be and not a sparrow falls without His noticing.

As God in flesh, Jesus held the authority of God and therefore had dominion over all things.  We find in the gospels that Jesus exerted His authority in many different ways over a number of different things.  This sermon series examines the authority of Jesus and the power that He held.

The gospels tell us that Jesus had authority over nature, demons, distance, priorities, sin, sickness, and death.  All of these are on display as Jesus performs miracles and He even teaches the crowds with authority that wasn't found anywhere else on earth.
