The Beatitudes

The Beatitudes are found as part
of the sermon on the Mount in Matthew chapter 5. This is a
simple three part study on the eight beatitudes. It was
originally written as part of the study on
discipleship but has been
pulled out as its own separate study here.
The Beatitudes are best known for
Jesus use of the term blessed to describe those who follow them.

5:1-5 - Poor is spirit, those who mourn, the meek
Matthew
5:6-8 - Those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, the
merciful, the poor in heart
Matthew
5:9-12 - Peacemakers, those who are persecuted and insulted
